| その映像をテレビで見たとき、はっきり言ってパニック映画のＣＦだと思っていた。 顔から血を流した女性が悲鳴をあげ、キャスターが意味をなさないレポートを繰り返しても、 それが現実の出来事であると理解することは出来なかった。 今でも理解できないでいる。理解することを拒んでいると言ってもいい。 そう、これは夢、ただの悪夢にすぎないんだと・・・・信じたかった。 いま、我々は、この星のこの場所に存在している。 泣きもするし、笑いもする。 怒りもするし、喜びもする。 生きているから風を感じ、歩いているから、木々を眺められる。 もしそれらが崩壊したら、存在に、何の価値があるのだろうか？ 価値観は、共有することはできるかもしれないけど、まったく同じ価値観を持つ人が 同時に存在する可能性は、絶望的に低いと思う。 それ故、人は、『妥協する』ということをあみ出した。 共棲するための、自己防衛的な叡智だと思う。 それが発展し、やがて特定の価値観を共有しあう集団が現れ、その価値観を広めるために 「宗教」が発達したのではないかと、私は思っている。 もともと、共棲し、妥協するために発達したはずの宗教が、いつしか政争の道具になっている。 すべての価値観は、生きていてこそ存在しうるもの。 本来の姿を失ってしまった宗教なら、私はいらないと思う。
